About me

I have reached a time in my life where I have more time for myself and I am so enjoying not rushing from work to kid to friends to family. I work as a researcher and loving it and have a private practice which I recently cut down to two days a week. which gives me more time for other stuff yoga, racketball, violin being my main interests, but also simply having more time to meet friends. I wish I could have done it years ago! Travelling's always been a love and I go away when I can, so as well as weekends walking on the moors or by the sea, or chilling on city breaks, over the past few years I have been cycling in Croatia, walking in India, to a yoga retreat in Spain and travelling round Cuba and Iceland. I've still got the travel bug never got it out of my system. Culturally, I have a pretty eclectic taste in theatre, classical and world music, art and world cinema. I enjoy reading - two recent books were The Examined Life - Stephen Grosz and Blue Monday - Nicci French. I have a son. I love the fact that he is so independent and self-assured. It also means I have more flexibility about being out or going away...
